There are many volcanoes in the Philippines. One third of the Philippines electricity comes from them, it is renewable – geo-thermal. There is the potential for a lot more. But Deek, the chief mate, had a question. He asked Marieke, the campaigner on board, how CO2 emissions from volcanoes compared to those from coal. She came back with a US Geological survey that compared volcanoes with human activities.
Volcanoes emit 130-230 million tonnes of CO2 each year. Human activities, including fossil fuel burning, cement production, and gas flaring, amount to 22 billion tonnes each year. Our activities thus release 150 times the amount of CO2 emitted by volcanoes. So, my understanding is that we are causing climate change. My belief is that we will stop. I believe in miracles.

Junk facts + Junk science = fiction Junkies
The amount of assumptions used to fuel these GW debates has been dwarfed only by the number of poorly educated non-scientific minded people trying to sound as if they know what they are talking about. If you really want to prove your contribution to GW using CO2 emission theory try withholding CO2 by holding your breath and see if you heat up or cool off. Now you have a tested theory to run with.
